A fantastic cause, love of bikes and sheer determination were the reasons London had such a great turn out at the DGR this year (as well as the fact we have to donate a minimum of £50 in order to gain a spot).
We all woke up late and hurried to don our finest and make our way from our hometown of Watford to Canary Wharf to begin the ride. We packed some transparent waterproof ponchos and off we went. Around 7 minutes in on our journey to London we had to pull up under a bridge and put the waterproofs on as the heavens opened.
We made it there in one piece and were overwhelmed at the volume of dapper ladies and gents and cool bikes. Even a sidecar with a giant Great Dane was among us! This out-cooled the rest of us.
A great ride was had by all and despite the weather we wore our cheesiest grins!
